About IOA

International Affairs Office

On November 12, 2020, we are happy to celebrate the opening of the Office of International Affairs (IOA). The ceremony was held at the Rectorate office of STEKOM University, and we thank every distinguished guest who participated. We were honored to have the Rector and Head of the IOA Department give us thoughtful speeches. OIA has significantly benefited from the assistance and help offered by staff from other divisions and, of course, from our warm and enthusiastic students, local and foreign alike.

OIA will stand as an office that could serve students worldwide and provide helpful information to local students who want to study abroad. To carry on your mission of enhancing international cooperation between partnership schools and recruiting international students worldwide, we will raise our global recognition and reputation by promoting STEKOM in various events.

The office is divided into International Relationships, International Students, and International Research.

International Affairs Office - 2023

Internationalization is the primary strategy for the future sustainable development of STEKOM University. The university will establish a campus environment conducive to international exchanges, broaden the global vision of all lecturers and students, enhance the overall competitiveness of the university, and continue to face the challenges of globalization with an innovative and positive attitude. The university will expand the service capacity of international academic cooperation, gradually enhance the global outlook and visibility of lecturers and students in a friendly and international campus environment, and extend the channels for collaboration for lecturers and the opportunities for students to pursue higher education and employment from Indonesia to the world. Based on the fact that our students have good foreign language skills and have a good foundation for developing internationalization capabilities, encouraging students to participate in overseas exchanges actively and establishing the ability of our students to connect with international standards has been the focus of our school's internationalization work in recent years.

The implementation direction of our school's International Office (OIA) is divided into five main axes :

1. Strategic International Cooperation
2. Encourage Students to go Abroad for Students Exchange
3. Participation and Hosting of Short-term Overseas Study Activities
4. International Student Care
5. The Improvement of the International Atmosphere of the Campus.

In terms of strategic international cooperation, we conduct strategic sister school searches, sign contracts, and launch substantive collaboration. We no longer pursue the loss of maximizing the number of sister schools signing contracts. Instead, we are looking at which schools' alliances can allow the students and teachers of the school to obtain the most incredible benefits in cooperation with each other. To this end, we have learned about the tuition policies of all continents and countries worldwide, the characteristic fields of each school and their school performance and rankings, and selected suitable potential partner schools from relevant data.

Students go to foreign sister schools for exchange, not only to make friends from different countries but also to broaden their knowledge and horizons. OIA has been encouraging students to participate in overseas businesses through various channels. For STEKOM University, every student who goes abroad for business or training is a seed of hope. Through the planting, germination, and growing this seed, students can bring back the experience of studying abroad to the school and share more with them. The students share and set a good example and pass on knowledge.
