Various international activities carried out by STEKOM University continue from year to year. There are international activities that are sustainable and there are also some international activities that are not sustainable. All types of activities are accommodated internationally and regulated by the International department of STEKOM University.


The title of the presentation delivered by Mr. Wang Tao was "DIGITAL TOURISM - Dual Empowerment - Culture and Technology". At the beginning of his presentation, Mr. Wang Tao explained that the integration and innovative development of the digital economy and cultural tourism industry "Digital Culture and Tourism" is a proposition of the times and a call for innovation and strategic ideas for high-quality development. Digital culture and tourism is purposeful, global, trendy, leading and up-to-date.


Mr. Wang Tao further explained that with the new round of technological revolution and industrial changes in depth, China's digital economy is accelerating integration with industry, constantly emerging new industries, new models, new business models, becoming an important driving force for promoting the transformation and improvement of tourism culture , high-quality development, the development of digital tourism culture has become a trend.


New crown epidemics are also important influencing factors and variables. China's readiness to move forward more quickly after the Covid-19 pandemic is based on the country's readiness to anticipate a pandemic and its impact on its economy. It has been proven that the current ratio of credit to total GDP has skyrocketed from 140% in 2008 to 290%. At a time when credit growth in other countries has been observed to be stagnant, even contracting, there is an opportunity for China's economy to accelerate. In the era of epidemic and post-epidemic normalization, the integration of high-tech, cultural content and the tourism industry is inevitable and closer.


China's huge market and people's demand for personalized, diverse and embodied experiences (whole body and mind, immersive experience for all senses) have promoted the adoption of 5G technology, big data, cloud recovery, Internet of Things, consumer artificial intelligence, Virtual reality, augmented reality, blockchain and other new generation information technologies in the field of tourism culture.


Although China's economy has slowed down in recent years, due to demographic challenges and reduced investment, it is estimated that its economy will still grow at around 3% in 2035. In the US, sluggish productivity is seen to hold growth to around 1% in 2035.


In the process of promoting smart tourism and enhancing cultural experience, China has emerged "Smart Yuntai Mountain", "Tang Palace Night Banquet", "Su Xin Tour", "Sound to Gusu". Pingjiang Road", "5G Grand Canal", "Digital Forbidden City" and other intelligent scenic spots and digital cultural tourism products. This is in line with the advancement of internet services in China.


Tourism, which has cultural attributes, also has economic attributes; Tourism is included in the cultural economy. The development of China's digital tourism culture will support the recovery and transformation of China's tourism industry, and will promote the development and progress of China's economy, culture and society. That way, both will provide mutual benefits and strengthen each other as a product.
