Green engineering besides having many advantages, but also has many limitations. These limitations must be observed properly so that the application of green engineering does not cause problems later. The following are some of the limitations that exist in green engineering:

- Low maximum capacity utilization/low capacity factor

For example, in solar cells, to build enough electricity to fill a house with solar cells, the technology will eat up the entire roof of the house. This is very different from electric generator equipment that uses equipment that uses fossil fuels. Where the equipment will only occupy a smaller space. In the future, this kind of challenge must be considered by green engineering developers so that they can present products that are more compact but have functional ones that can truly meet the needs of society or industry. If not, then green engineering will be difficult to be accepted by society and industry.

- Relatively high cost of electricity production

Energy security is an important factor in the sustainability of a country's life. Energy is not only an important production factor for economic activity and growth, but also a strategic commodity that can threaten economic activity during a crisis, especially when prices are out of control due to limited supply.

The future development of most countries will be directed at maintaining a balance between economic growth, emission reduction targets, and the carrying capacity of natural resources. Each government will make policies that accommodate the value of the carbon economy, the implementation of which will be carried out in stages.

The imposition of a carbon tax will not be carried out immediately, but will be carried out in stages through studies of various aspects, both economic, social and political. This discussion and study will involve various groups, including the private sector.

The multidimensional challenges faced are not only a matter of regulation. However, high electricity production is also a challenge. In fact, electrical energy is a type of applied energy that is very widely used and the most environmentally friendly. Especially with engineering schemes
green, how to build a large generator of electrical energy and low cost is very important to strive for.

The STEKOM University international webinar presenter who delivered the material was Kefale Kebie Bishaw who has an M.Sc academic degree in Structural Engineering. He is also a lecturer and researcher at Debre Tabor University which is located in the city of Debre Tabor, Country of Ethiopia. STEKOM University has collaborated with the University several times. This time the international activity being held was an international webinar entitled "Advantage of Green Engineering".

The title of the presentation delivered by Mr. Kefale was "Advantage of Green Engineering / Technology". At the beginning of his presentation, Mr. Kefale explained the outline of his presentation. The outline presented by Mr. Kefale included the following points:
- What is Green Engineering?
- Green Engineering Category,
- Green Engineering Driving Factors,
- Benefits and Some Limitations,
- Conclusions and recommendations.

The webinar activity is part of the implementation of STEKOM University's commitment to increase various international activities in order to realize the vision to become an international-class university. Various international activities carried out by STEKOM University continue from year to year. There are international activities that are sustainable and there are also some international activities that are not sustainable. All types of international activities are accommodated and regulated by the International department of STEKOM University.
