Mr. Tsotne's introduction to the June 7 2022 guest lecture at STEKOM University was quite long. After giving a brief explanation about the country of Georgia and the city of Tbilisi, Mr. Tsotne gave an explanation about the Georgian University of Business and Technology. Georgian university of business and technology is a unit of higher education and research that integrates business and modern digital technology. Teaching, education and research activities are carried out by consolidating students, educational staff and researchers.


This activity is part of the implementation of STEKOM University's commitment to increase various international activities in order to realize the vision to become an international-class university. Various international activities carried out by STEKOM University continue from year to year. There are international activities that are sustainable and there are also some international activities that are not sustainable. All types of international activities are accommodated and regulated by the International Department of STEKOM University.


In the guest lecture, Mr. Tsotne delivered lecture material on how to build trust on digital platforms. At the beginning of his application, Mr. Tsotne said that his name was quite strange for people outside of Georgia, because the spelling was quite the way it was pronounced. He also displayed a visual estimate of the distance between Semarang and Georgia, which is around 8,500 kilometers. As a courtesy, Mr. Tsotne also gave light questions to the participants. Does Georgia belong to Europe or not? asked Tsutne. In his explanation, Georgia is sometimes mentioned as being in the European region, sometimes mentioned as being in the Asian region, or sometimes mentioned as being in the Caucasus region.


There are many faculties present at Georgia's university of business and technology. The Faculty strives to provide opportunities for obtaining an education, which meets modern standards recognized worldwide; to train competitive and highly qualified specialists in Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral programmes; to create a required academic environment in students, provide academic freedom and ensure students' competitiveness in the international job market. Students are offered programs at three stages of education namely: undergraduate programs, masters programs, and PHD programs.


Georgian university of business and technology undergraduate programs are designed according to academic requirements and requirements for entrepreneurship-based teaching. These programs aim to promote the innovative potential of students from various disciplines, develop entrepreneurial and management skills, and adapt them to local and international markets. Through the Bachelor programme, students will develop practical skills, which will enable them to quickly adapt to the environment and find employment. The Bachelor program includes two concentrations namely:
- Business Administration
- Information Technology

In addition, through the minor program, Business Administration students will study Information Technology, while Information Technology students will study the main functional issues of Business Administration, through the minor program. Through the Business Administration program, undergraduate students offer two concentrations, namely:
- Management
- Finance
- Digital Marketing

Meanwhile, through the Information Technology program, undergraduate students offer the following concentrations:
- Information Technology

According to the curriculum, Business Administration students acquire basic knowledge of Information Technology through a minor program. Meanwhile, Information Technology students acquire basic knowledge of Business Administration through the minor program.


The Master's program found at the Georgia university of business and technology helps students acquire in-depth knowledge in business administration and modern technology, to enable them to run their business successfully. This program is unique, because it is a synthesis of business administration and information technology. This program enables graduates to apply the knowledge and skills acquired, start and run innovative businesses, introduce modern technologies in business processes and become competitive not only in Georgia but also beyond its borders. This master's program offers the following two concentration options:
- Business Administration and Modern Technology
- Information System Management – ​​DevOps


The aim of the Doctoral program at Georgia University of business and technology is to train professionals, capable of conducting innovative research in business, based on modern methodologies. The aim of research is to expand existing knowledge and create new knowledge. The doctoral program currently offers only one concentration which is Business Administration.
