ICT affects the development of the world of industry, economy, education and so on. ICT also affects career fields that change from year to year. In this era of industry 4.0, the emerging careers refer to those who have good technological skills. Unfortunately, it also means that some careers will be lost or replaced by the role of ICT.

Changes in the industrial world have evolved in several aspects marked by the emergence of super computers, smart robots, driverless vehicles, cloud computing, big data systems, genetic engineering and the development of neurotechnology. In addition, in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, the creation of tools that help facilitate human work such as robots to increase efficiency and complete work, both in industry, health, and also in agriculture. This causes many types of jobs to be lost and replaced by robotic or artificial intelligence functions which will lead to social changes and shifts in the business field in the long term that will be felt in the digital industrial revolution.

When technological development progresses so fast, it causes the skills possessed by workers to become obsolete quickly. Human workers do not rule out the possibility of facing new types of work that were never thought of before, so this revolution inevitably demands that we continue to develop skills that can be useful in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to have information and communication technology skills to face the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 with the intention that we must be able to understand technology such as global awareness, media and technology literacy, and visual literacy.

In addition, to face the current revolutionary era, we must also have soft skills such as the ability to communicate effectively such as being able to work in teams and collaborate, have personal and social responsibilities, in communicating must be interactive, have a national and global orientation, have a leadership spirit. and responsible, have ethical and moral values, productivity and accountability, flexibility and adaptability, social and cross-cultural, initiative and self-directed. Thus, it is hoped that workers today must prepare themselves to have information and communication technology skills to face the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 so that they are able to adapt to the changing times that occur.

Currently, managers make decisions through data, said Professor Khassik Duta. In the past, they made decisions through intuition or based on experience, he added. Furthermore, through data, companies can make decisions whether to find new workers or buy machines to increase company profits.

With the development of ICT, human life will be easier, because in essence technology was created to make life easier. Indeed, on the one hand, ICT will reduce opportunities human career, but on the other hand it will open up career opportunities on the other side. For example, the loss of the role of a public service operator will open up career opportunities in the field of public information service machine design. Other examples will be seen a lot if we want to pay attention to the surrounding environment.
