In the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic, technology has taken over the media and the role of humans to facilitate the process of daily activities that we usually do physically. The University of Computer Science and Technology (STEKOM University) in collaboration with the International Final University in North Cyprus, CECOS University of IT and Emerging Sciences in Pakistan and the Indonesian Teachers Association held an International webinar on January 23, 2021, with the title “Link and match between education and industry and technology transfer". This international seminar is expected to be one of the provisions for STEKOM University students so that after graduation they can compete in the world of careers internationally.
Dr. Kifayat Ulah said that now, there are 23 million developers in the technology sector, and it is expected to increase to 28 million in 2023, he added. This clearly opens up new job opportunities, he explained again. This information can be a source of innovation for educators to prepare graduates who are ready to fill new careers in technology that will emerge in the future.
Today's rapid technological developments have finally opened up new job opportunities. If in the past only a handful of professions were offered by the information technology field, now there are many choices to choose from. Companies are also opening more and more professional vacancies in the field of information technology from year to year. Here are some professions in the field of technology development that can be prepared in the future:
Software/Web Developer
The first profession in technology is software/web developer. His duties include research, determining the design of a software, and implementing it to the software and system testing process.
