European business is a pioneer in circular innovation. The European Regional Development Fund, through its smart specialization, LIFE and Horizon Europe will complement private innovation funding and support the entire innovation cycle with the aim of bringing solutions to market. Horizon Europe will support the development of indicators and data, new materials and products, substitution and elimination of hazardous substances based on a “safe design” approach, circular business models, and new production and recycling technologies, including exploring the potential of chemical recycling, bearing in mind the role of tools digitally to achieve circular goals. Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions can also support the skills development, training and mobility of researchers in this field.


The STEKOM University international webinar presenter who delivered the material was Veleriia lymar from Ukraine. He is a Doctor in economics. His academic functional position is Associate professor. At his campus, Mr. Veleriia served as Acting head of international relations and foreign policy department. The campus where he is domiciled is 'Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University, Ukraine.


The title of the presentation delivered by Mr. Veleriia was "Analyzing a New Circular Economy Action Plan". At the beginning of his presentation, Mr. Veleriia explained about the new circular economy action plan developed by the European commission. The European Commission adopted a new circular economy action plan (CEAP) in March 2020. It is one of the key building blocks of the European Green Deal, Europe's new agenda for sustainable growth. The EU's transition to a circular economy will reduce pressure on natural resources and will create sustainable growth and jobs. It is also a prerequisite for achieving the EU's 2050 climate neutrality target and for halting biodiversity loss.


The webinar activity is part of the implementation of STEKOM University's commitment to increase various international activities in order to realize the vision to become an international-class university. Various international activities carried out by STEKOM University continue from year to year. There are international activities that are sustainable and there are also some international activities that are not sustainable. All types of international activities are accommodated and regulated by the International department of STEKOM University.


Digital technology can track the journey of products, components and materials and make the resulting data securely accessible. The European data space for smart circular applications referred to in section 2 will provide the architecture and governance systems to drive applications and services such as product passport, resource mapping and consumer information.


The European Institute of Innovation and Technology will coordinate innovation initiatives on the circular economy in collaboration with universities, research organizations, industry and SMEs in the Knowledge and Innovation Community. This collaboration will provide convenience for business development. From the academic side, it will also be connected to the world of work directly. So both the academic environment and the business environment will both benefit.


The intellectual property regime must be compatible with the digital age and green transition and support EU business competitiveness. The Commission will propose an Intellectual Property Strategy to ensure that intellectual property remains a key enabling factor for the circular economy and the emergence of new business models. Intellectual property that is maintained with good protection and management will encourage the growth of various creative businesses that are environmentally friendly and responsible. Instead of continuing to allow linear and non-environmentally friendly economic growth, it would be better if what grew was an environmentally friendly and circular creative economy.
