STEKOM University collaborated with Eastern Kentucky University (USA) and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia) in an international webinar discussing export performance during the covid 19 pandemic. The collaboration was carried out well on October 5, 2021, Semarang / western Indonesia time.

There were four main speakers in the webinar. In the webinar, remarks were given by Dr. Joseph Teguh Santoso as Chancellor of STEKOM University at the beginning of the event. The event then continued with the first presentation by Robles Marcel (Dean Assistant and Chair of the Faculty School of Business) from Eastern Kentucky University (USA). He explained that the performance of world exports in general experienced a significant decline during the pandemic, and the United States was no exception.

The event was then continued by the second presenter, namely Dr. Mohd Shahidan Shaari (Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Applied and Human Sciences) from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Malaysia). He explained something very similar to Robles Marcel, where in general there was a significant decline in global export performance. However, in his explanation, Dr. Mohd Shahidan Shaari said that the general economic performance of Malaysia was still running very well.

The last presentation was delivered by Ida Hendriyani, S.Pd., M.Hum (STEKOM University Lecturer). He conveyed the same picture of export performance globally as the previous speakers. However, according to him, the creative economy in Indonesia has actually experienced a very significant increase, especially the creative economy that runs digitally.

This international webinar event has a question and answer session which is attended by all speakers. After all the speakers delivered the material for three hours, it was followed by a question and answer session with all students from STEKOM University, Eastern Kentucky University and Universiti Malaysia Perlis. In the question and answer session, many interesting issues regarding export performance and the general economy were discussed in each country.
