This time, STEKOM University
collaborated with two universities from abroad at once. STEKOM
University cooperates with India's Vidyavardhaka College of
Engineering (VVCE) and China's Fuzhou Polytechnic. The form of this
collaboration is a Lecturer Exchange. Cooperation events are held
online through Zoom Meetings. This event is held for three days,
Monday to Wednesday, from 08 to 10 November 2021 at 11.30 WIB
The
profile of higher education institutions from China in collaboration
with STEKOM University is no joke. Fuzhou Polytechnic China is a
general vocational high school organized by the Fujian Provincial
Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. The school is
located in the university city of Fuzhou.
The profile of
Indian universities that collaborate with STEKOM University is also
not a joke. Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) is located in
Mysuru, India. Autonomous Institute, Affiliated to Visvesvaraya
University of Technology, Belagavi (Approved by AICTE, New Delhi &
Government of Karnataka). The university is accredited by the NAAC
with an "A" Grade.
There were six speakers in
this event. All the speakers who fill this event are very competent
in their respective fields. Scientific explanations as well as
practical explanations are presented very clearly with
straightforward language and very interesting media.
The
first day we presented Dr. PSV Balaji Rao (Professor Department of
Business Administration) with the topic of Human Resource Management
from VVCE and at 13.30 continued with Mr. Qiu Chenzi (Associate
Professor/Senior Technician/Senior Examiner) with the topic of New
Energy Vehicle from Fuzhou Polytechnic China. The two speakers seemed
to complement each other's material presented. Practical material, as
well as theoretical material is delivered very critically and in
easy-to-understand language and media.
Then on the second
day we presented Dr. Lakshmi P (Associate Professor Department of
Business Administration) with the topic of Marketing Management from
VVCE and at 13.30 continued with Mr. Chen Jiacheng (Lecturer/Senior
Technician) with the topic of New Energy Vehicle from Fuzhou
Polytechnic China. The topics of the two speakers seemed irrelevant.
However, in the discussion, it was found that there was a very close
correlation on the two topics by each speaker. This was certainly
above the expectations of the participants who were initially quite
skeptical about these topics, but then became excited when they
listened to the explanations.
The event on our last day
presented Dr. Somashekar IC (Associate Professor Department of
Business Administration) with the topic of Marketing Management and
Operations from VVCE and at 13.30 continued with Mr. Lin Meibin
(Lecturer/Senior Technician) with the topic of New Energy Vehicle
from Fuzhou Polytechnic China. The two topics on the last day looked
similar to the event held on the second day of the lecturer exchange
collaboration. However, because on the second day it was successfully
held very interestingly, on this last day the participants seemed
very enthusiastic from the beginning of the event.
The
presentation also had a Q&A session by speakers by Vidyavardahaka
College of Engineering India and Fuzhou Polytechnic China. This event
attended by Dr. Joseph Teguh Santoso as Rector from STEKOM
University. Mr. Ahmad Zaenuri as Head Department of Entrepreneurship
from STEKOM University gave an opening speech in this event. The
moderator was Anggi Novita Sari as International Affairs from STEKOM
University.
Each lecturer delivered an average of
four hours of material and was followed by a question and answer
session with all students and all attendees. Both during the delivery
of the material and during the question and answer session in general
the event went very well. The enthusiasm of lecturers and
participants always adorns the event. But if judged at a glance, the
most lively event is the one held on the last day. This is probably
because previous events have been very well executed.
