Becoming an international class university is the dream of most universities in Indonesia. STEKOM University is indeed relatively young in the field of higher education in Indonesia. But that doesn't discourage institutional managers from having a vision of becoming an international-class university. Various efforts have been made to realize this vision. Among them is by agreeing and implementing cooperation with several universities or higher education from abroad. This time, STEKOM University held an MoU ceremony with Zaporizhzhia National University (Ukraine).
The protocol
ceremony to formalize international cooperation between STEKOM
University, located in Semarang, Indonesia, and Zaporizhzhia National
University, located in Zaporizhia, Ukraine was held remotely. The
signing of this inter-institutional collaboration was carried out by
the leaders of the two higher education institutions. From
Zaporizhzhia National University represented by Mr. Mykola Frolov,
while from STEKOM University was represented by Dr. Joseph Teguh
Santoso. Where both are rectors of the two universities.
An important
note from this activity is that Zaporizhzhia National University is
the first institution in Ukraine to cooperate with STEKOM University
to promote student exchange, academic mobility, and the establishment
of research networks of experts in the fields of science and
technology. This is very interesting, where STEKOM University can
stay focused on its educational vision even though it has to
cooperate with universities or higher education from countries that
are experiencing war conflicts.
This
cooperation agreement effort was led by the Head of International
Office, Mrs. Alina Osaul from Zaporizhzhia National University and
International Relations of STEKOM University, Mrs. Anggi Novita Sari.
Both of them try to understand each other's interests and establish
intense communication in order to be able to carry out cooperation
agreements and implement cooperation between the two institutions.
The
cooperation agreement will later be implemented by starting various
activities together with organizing webinars in the business sector
and guest lectures in the fields of Graphic Design, Business,
Engineering. The measure of the success of the cooperation agreement
is the implementation and smoothness of various cooperative
activities carried out by both parties. Especially if later there are
several follow-ups on various webinars and guest lectures that have
been held.
